breastfeeding consultation

Breastfeeding is, of course, the most natural thing in the world and much more than jsut nourishment for the baby. It supports bonding and is a special experience for both mother and child.

Despite all the positive aspects of breastfeeding, problems can arise during this sensitive phase that may leave you feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or even in tears. Whether it is sore breasts, a blocked milk duct developing into mastitis, or painful nipples - many things do not always go as smoothly as advertising would like us to believe.

Things related to children are constantly changing and are done differently every few years than in previous generations. What am I allowed to eat while breastfeeding? Which medications should be harmful? Is it okay to take a painkiller? Or should I wean if, for example, I need local anesthesia at the dentist? How do I even wean? Does pumping make sense? What about brestfeeding in public? Questions upon questions, thousands of guides, advice everywhere, and far too much information. It can really make you feel overwhelmed, can`t it?

Yes and No - because for many things there is a simple answer: trust your intuition. As a mother, you intuitively know what to do and when. Especially when you listen to your baby - your baby will tell you very clearly what they need.

And if you do have further questions, don`t hesitate to contact your midwife or a lactation consultant. That´s what we´re here for.

To clarify your questions or resolve any issues that arise, we are able to bill health insurance for up to eight contacts (by phone, video consultation, or in-person visit) during the baby`s first year of breastfeeding.
